Judy is an experienced business advisor in the digital and technology space, she has broad commercial experience across a range of industry sectors including – retail, banking, government, health, sport, FMCG food & beverage, publishing, media and education.
Judy specialises in digital innovation, customer engagement, strategy development and business transformation.
Her corporate career included CEO and senior executive roles in startups and private companies through to multi-national businesses including Westpac, News Limited (CareerOne and Truelocal), Southcorp and HarperCollins Publishers.
Judy was also co-founder of ASX-listed startup Winepros, with the fathers of Australian wine, James Halliday, Len Evans and his daughter Sally Evans, in the late 90’s and still works with James as co-founder of their advanced technology wine business, Junovate.
Judy holds a Bachelor of Education from Victoria University, Melbourne and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Judy is passionate about the startup space and has worked as a government and business advisor, awards judge and mentor to a number of startups and female founders.
In addition to working as a business advisor, Judy has also worked as an Industry Project Supervisor at Swinburne University (Hawthorn Campus), Department of Business Technology & Entrepreneurship and the Department of Information Communications and Technology (ICT) and as a Sessional Academic at Federation University (Berwick Campus).
Judy is a Non Executive Director of Family Life and member of the Advisory Board of C31 (Melbourne Community Television Consortium Ltd). She has also been a Telstra Business Awards, City of Casey Business Awards and Bayside Business Excellence Awards judge.
Winepros – built an ASX-listed wine business from startup with James Halliday, Sally and Len Evans.
Truelocal (News Limited) – developed and launched Australia’s first business with consumer ratings and reviews.
Westpac – headed-up Westpac’s transformation project, which was consequently recognised as the best of big-4 Australian banks.
Casama Wines – developed industry leading B2B and B2C wine e-commerce platform.
Valcorp Fine Foods – implemented cloud-based field and sales force CRM solution for Lavazza reps.
Southcorp – ‘digitally remastered’ some of the world’s best wine brands – Penfolds, Rosemount and Lindemans.
HarperCollinsPublishers – won three AIMIA (Industry Association awards) for James Halliday’s Interactive Wine Companion CD-ROM and website.
